Major Account Development Manager

Location

 

London or Halifax – based between the client’s sites in these locations. Regular travel to Bristol will be required.

 

The Job
 

As a Major Account Development Manager at Maximise IT, you will be responsible for developing our most important account. With a long-established, successful relationship, we are looking to bring someone on board who can build on this success, grow the account and increase sales.


Your role is getting to know key decision-makers, developing long-lasting relationships and building trust across the client’s business. You will be the face of Maximise IT, delivering a professional, confident and reliable service. 


Your principal responsibility will be to develop the accounts to produce higher revenue by networking and expanding the relationship, identifying opportunities where Maximise IT and SmartFlow can add value. It’s critical to recognise and meet key people, build relationships and proactively grow the accounts. 



Key Responsibilities

  • Proactive account development strengthening the client relationship

  • Uncover opportunities to increase revenue and Maximise IT account penetration

  • Identify senior account contacts to forge strong relationships

  • Book meetings in with key influencers across all departments

  • Understand the client’s product and services objectives and actively seek opportunities where our services can meet their needs

  • Effectively communicate sales propositions and articulate how Maximise IT’s services can meet the client’s business needs

  • Manage and produce the sales pipeline to negotiate new sales

  • Manage relationship for client satisfaction

  • Achieving and exceeding monthly sales targets

  • Maintaining CRM (Salesforce) to record all activity and information

  • Keeping up with regulatory and industry changes which help the customer



Key Experience & Skills
 

  • Experience of large account development, increasing spend from an existing client business

  • Able to drive value-adding business conversations with clients

  • An effective negotiator with strong, diplomatic influencing skills

  • Experienced in developing relationships and selling to senior (Director to C-level) contacts

  • Effective networker with the ability to understand client needs

  • Demonstrated knowledge of banking regulations and sanctions

  • Strong business acumen with an entrepreneurial nature

  • Highly organised, proactive, hardworking, detail orientated and resilient

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Financial services and banking experience in a similar role (Desirable)
