At this time of year we all tend to look forward to the Christmas and New Year festivities and look back at the year that is just about to end.
2017 has been a brilliant year for us at Maximise IT, so much so, that when I was asked to call out my highlight of the year recently I found it really difficult to pick a single one or even a top three! So I thought I would use my last blog of 2017 to share some of my highlights.
Where to start? Well in 2017 we delivered one of the biggest implementations to date of our SmartFlow solution. From the outset it was clear that with this new customer, we had found a forward-thinking partner we could successfully integrate and collaborate with. Gaining rapid trust removed many of the traditional barriers allowing us to jointly deliver huge business benefit at pace. This simply wouldn’t have been possible without such a strong partnership. I am excited about what we have delivered to date and even more excited about the future possibilities with this customer.
Of course the relationships we continue to nurture with our longer standing customers is also a highlight, and the collaborative way we continue to work together to overcome challenges. Again this was extremely busy in 2017, as overall we’ve been involved in 76 projects and now have 2.5 billion rows of data under support.
The summer months brought a highlight of a different kind as we once again sponsored the Bristol Balloon Fiesta, we held our ever popular family event on the Saturday and the icing on the cake was that the great British weather didn’t let us down and we enjoyed a glorious sunny day. This was just one of many social activities we enjoyed as a company throughout the year. Another big positive are the responses we are getting to our increased social media presence and the revamped website, our updates covering Max IT’s social activities as well as more formal company and solution information.
As we moved into the autumn we took part in the first RPA&AI Exchange event in London. We had the challenge of delivering a compelling and engaging speaking slot to all attendees (approx. 60), the feedback received was very positive. This was followed by 1-2-1 meetings with many prospective customers, these conversations kick started many new engagements which we continue to progress and continue into 2018.
Of course some of the standout moments of the year came at the awards events we attended in November and December. We enjoyed great success at the UKIT awards, getting highly commended in the Business IT Innovation of the Year category and winning Small Supplier of the Year. Proving that lightning does strike twice we were also then successful at the Financial Innovation Awards where we won in the category Technology Vendors - Best Financial Services Solution. I already wrote a blog about the sense of pride I have in Max IT relating to these awards but another personal highlight is that a recent employee survey showed a lot of pride in our brand from everyone who works at Max IT.
Already my thoughts have turned to 2018 and how we are going to possibly top the year just ending, but I think I’ll leave that for a future blog!
Thank you to the Max IT team for your professionalism, dedication, support, expertise and winning spirit. Thank you to our customers for the trust you place in us and the privilege of assisting you to go faster, work smarter and Maximise the benefit of IT.
Merry Christmas and best wishes for 2018.
Tony
